Wonyong Park, Research Assistant on the OARS Project, has recently published an article in Teach311.org titled “Preparing school science for the next disaster”. The piece reflects on the sort of multidisciplinary approach required for disaster education, pointing to the OARS project as an example of such cross-subject work.

The Teach311 + COVID-19 Collective (www.Teach311.org) consists of educators, researchers, artists, students, and survivors spanning disciplinary and linguistic boundaries who study and teach about disasters. The Collective uses a collaborative process of research, learning and teaching to empathically inquire into crises of the past.
